Dr. Marie O’ Neill

Consultant Oral Surgeon

BDS (Hons) NUI, MFDS RCSEd. PGrad. Dip. Con. Sed, D. Ch. Dent, FFD RCSI

Dr. O’ Neill graduated from her Oral Surgery Specialist training with a First Class Honours. She was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, in Oral Surgery, the same year. Marie has a particular interest in the prevention of post- operative pain following oral surgery procedures, such as wisdom tooth removal, and this was the topic of her Doctoral Thesis while in Trinity College Dublin.

Dr. O Neill is a Consultant Oral Surgeon at the Mater Private Hospital Dublin, and the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin. She is a registered Specialist Oral Surgeon with the Irish Dental Council.

She runs her specialist Oral Surgery practice from The Institute of Specialist + Cosmetic Dentistry , the Mater Private Hospital and the Bon Secours Hospital in Dublin.

Dr O’ Neill is a fully participating member of VHI, Irish Life Health, LAYA Healthcare and the Garda Medical Scheme.

I cannot rate IS+CD enough. I’m a week and a half post procedure and had three wisdom teeth removed at the clinic. Dr O’Neill put me at ease from initial consultation, went through all the risks and answered all my queries. I was keen to get the procedure over with but had limited availability due to my own schedule and the clinic kindly put me on a cancellation list and rang me every time a spot became available. On their third attempt I accepted an early appointment. The staff at the clinic were just so amazing from the moment I arrived, special mention to Joyce and Sarah who looked after me so well pre and post op. They are so thorough and go through everything with your designated person bringing you home. Sarah rang me within 36 hours of the procedure to check in. These things are never enjoyable to have to do but the clinic made the entire process seamless, and as painless as possible. Well done guys, see you in a few years for my dentures!
