For Patients

What to expect

What can I expect during my visit with Dr. O’ Neill?

Patients will undergo a detailed consultation and assessment in advance of undertaking any surgical treatment. Careful planning and discussion is the key predictor of success, and Dr. O’Neill will discuss the various treatment options, risk factors and costs as part of an open and detailed consultation. Where indicated, it may be recommended to carry out a CBCT ( 3-D imaging ) of various anatomical structures of the head and jaw to allow for accurate and detailed planning, improved outcomes, and reduced risks.

All surgical procedures are painless, with Dr. O’Neill offering multiple pathways to managing comfort and anxiety, including local anaesthesia, IV sedation, and general anaesthesia.

Dr. Marie O’Neill is a fully participating member of the major private health insurance companies, meaning that your surgical treatment, such as wisdom tooth removal, is often fully covered.

Please bring all insurance details to the consultation appointment and you will be informed if your procedure is covered. Unfortunately, we cannot determine your insurance coverage for a procedure prior to consultation.
